30 Days Til 30: Home is Where the Heart Is

Simply put home is where the heart is.  As I worked Fashions Night Out and documented it I didn't enjoy it with my team I enjoyed it with my mother.  What a blessing and what a joy to take in New York City on one of the nights where it vibrated with energy.  To share it with my mom was even better.  See as I have gotten older I realized home is where the heart is.

After all of the festivities I sat down in my room and Skyped with my husband and son. It brought me joy to see their beautiful faces through the computer screen.  They were close to me even if they were hundreds of miles away.  Knowing that all of riches in the world. All of the wisdom that comes with age.  Nothing comes close to having the confirmation that you are nothing without your family.  I was thankful and realized that as I turn 30 that family is an important part of it.  Making time for them.

Also knowing that family doesn't necessarily mean blood relatives but people that love you and you love back.  People that care about you and that you care just as deeply about right back.  Build a family, a support system to share the joys with and your heart, your spirit and your life will be that much richer.
